With D.U.C. we turned a simple idea into a real life product within 3 months. Our co-founder RVG came to Simon and Martin with his idea for the DUC foot - an idea that has now ended up with a joint-venture with outsouced production, patents pending and a fully formalized sales strategy - it’s Danish Umbrella Company.

As full time Amazon seller expert our co-founder RVG Trade came to Simon with an idea for a product that had the potential to do very well on Amazon. It was just a simple idea with no drawings, prototypes or physical presence in the real world - it was merely an idea that had it’s offset from a “sellers point of view”. Simon recognized the potential - adding the final touches for a sales strategy and then went to Martin to make sure, the product could actually be designed from a technical/mechanical point of view. Within weeks the idea was turned into a 3D model and the an principal agreement for a joint venture was made.

The idea was quickly turned into a principal agreement for a joint venture and it was now the time for development and project mangement. This was handled mainly by Martin and his experienced team - but always with Simon close by to make sure as his job was to keep RVG Trade up to date and volved in any decisions made that could have an impact on the products ability to do well in the market. Within 3 months the first physical version the DUC foot was born. Patents, trademark, sales strategy and funding was in place - Danish Umbrella Company was born.

As both parties quickly decided on doing a joint-venture funding was essential to get in place as quickly as possible. Kasper has a broad experience in these matters and the develope sale strategy was quickly followed up by a detailed budget and the needs for both parties funding was established. External funding options was explored (and turned down) as they were not needed with this project.
To grow the company a marketing strategy was build by Simon and RVG Trade - next up is exploring the possibilities for OEM’s to enter the market and business of D.U.C.
All in all - a fully funded product with a complete sales and marktin strategy was born from a simple idea within a few months.
